Construction of the plant started in 2019, 40.5 thousand square meters of production and storage facilities of the former Karaganda Rubber Products Plant in the industrial zone of Saran was restored and modernized.

In December 2020, a large-unit bus assembly shop was launched, and as early as June 2021, a small-unit bus assembly shop. The plant meets the requirements of industrial assembly of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including welding, painting and assembly of bus equipment. In 2023, the company launched production of commercial vehicles – Sinotruk and Scania trucks. Howo (Sinotruk) brand truck cab welding line was launched in 2024.

Launched in 2020, the QazTehna plant is the first major project to be implemented in the industrial zone, giving impetus to the development of Sarani city, providing new jobs and improving infrastructure.

Purpose of QazTehna LLP

To organize and establish high-tech, environmentally friendly production of new generation passenger buses, quarry, construction and road vehicles.

Today, the production portfolio of QazTehna plant includes a wide range of urban, tourist, intercity and special purpose buses of Yutong brand, as well as commercial vehicles of Sinotruk and Scania brands. In 2021, 165 vehicles were produced, 568 vehicles in 2022, 1,579 vehicles in 2023, and 1,576 vehicles in 2024 . The plan for 2025 is 1,560 bus vehicles and 2,139 commercial vehicles.

In 2021, 165 units of vehicles were produced, in 2022 - 568 units of vehicles, in 2023 - 1,579 units of vehicles, in 2024 - 1,576 units of vehicles. The plan for 2025 is 1,560 bus vehicles and 2,139 commercial vehicles.

Modern equipment

As part of the plant launch, modern high-tech equipment specially designed and manufactured by Yutong, a strategic partner, was purchased and installed in accordance with the technological requirements of the brand holder.

To date, the production portfolio of the plant "QazTehna" includes a wide range of urban, tourist, intercity, including special purpose buses of Yutong brand. As well as commercial vehicles of Scania and Howo brand.

Main consumers

The main consumers of manufactured products are transportation, mining and industrial companies in Kazakhstan. In the future, the Company is considering entering the markets of neighboring countries. In almost every region of Kazakhstan you can meet buses created at the QazTehna plant.

Competitive advantages

The buses are equipped with modern equipment to improve comfort and safety: navigation system, video surveillance, contactless fare payment system, air conditioning in the interior of the bus and in the driver's cabin, equipped with a folding ramp for boarding and alighting of passengers with limited mobility.

Localization level

Being the youngest bus manufacturing enterprise in Kazakhstan, the plant is rightfully considered to be one of the most localized passenger transport production facilities in the country. The actual level of localization at the moment is 36.08%, while the plant aims to achieve the share of Kazakhstani content up to 50%.

The development of human resources is a key factor in the successful functioning and growth of a business. QazTehna invests in the training and development of employees not only to improve their skills but also to improve the overall performance of the company. The total number of employees of the company is more than 800 people, jobs 1000. The main factors of growth in the number of employees is the availability of a compensation package (stable salary, mandatory medical deductions, payment for meals, transportation from Karaganda, satellite cities Saran, Temirtau, Abay, Shakhan and Shakhtinsk).

Corporate University

On the basis of QazTehna LLP successfully operates a corporate university, which is engaged in training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in priority areas of machine-building industry.
